Emma and I love the Louisville Zoo, it is so pretty and has some great animals to see! We were so excited when we heard last year that one of the elephants was expecting a baby. And the baby would be born shortly before we left! Last night the baby arrived, weighing 285 pounds (thank heavens my baby will not be that BIG!) It was a baby boy, and they haven't named him yet! We can't wait to go see him! They say that they will remain off exhibit giving them time to bond, hopefully we will be able to see him before we move!

How cute is he! Maybe when I come back for the baby Emma and I could go to the zoo one day!

wow- i can't believe you are up to date on zoo news, very impressive! he's so little (for an elephant) -how cute! -oh and did you know elephants are prego for like 2 years!!! thank goodness we're not prego for that long- huh!
too bad by the time the weather finally warms up again, he'll probably be big!
