So I love this idea of Good mail. I am not sure if I really have gotten the right idea, so might have to read a little more in depth about it. But I think it is just sending and receiving stuff from the people you love, that makes your day so much better! I have to admit that on days when I know I am going to get a package I tend to go look out the window everytime I hear a truck engine. I even know the approximate time that UPS or Fedex will deliver! And even though 9 out of 10 times the package is for Emma, it still makes it such an exciting day. So anyway yesterday we received some Good mail from my sister Chelsea. She left here on Monday, knowing that Emma really wanted the Hello Kitty jammies from Target (our Target didn't have them in her size) Chelsea was so sweet that as soon as she got home she went and checked her store and sure enough they had the jammies. It took all of 2 minutes for Emma to have the Jammies on! She also sent my a flat iron for my hair...a really nice one that I have needed! Thanks Chels it was great to get a package, especially when we are alone and bored!
Alright I can't figure out how to turn this picture around in the blog...I love our new Apple computer but I am still trying to figure out how to use it! These flowers are from Jon and it was so great to get them. I made a big deal when we were engaged that I didn't want flowers for every little reason, and especially as a "Get out of trouble ticket." I haven't decided if it was a mistake or a good thing. I really haven't gotten flowers too many times, but every time he has brought them home or sent them to me, I totally remember and always feel so special. I tend to think quality is better than quanity! It was such a pleasant surprise to get them yesterday. I was in my room picking up (i will get to that in a minute) and Emma said Mom there is a guy at the door with flowers. I love all the colorful spring flowers! It really brightened my day. And it is nice to know that Jon feels bad about being away for so long. So thanks Jon for the beautiful flowers, I am glad that you will be able to see them in just 2 more nights! YEAH!
This picture really has nothing to do with good mail, more of just what I have been up to. I was totally bummed when it just didn't work out to have anybody come this weekend. Plane tickets were out of control. And I just think money could be better spent. Plus this baby is bound to come out sooner or later...and then my Mom will be here! It is really funny that when I was pregnant with Emma I had her room all put together and all her clothes washed and ready for her when I was 6 or 7 months pregnant. It made the end seem so long! Well this time I finally have gotten all the clothes washed and folded and put away! I still have to find several more things upstairs to be all the way done, but at least I made some progress! I also didn't really believe in the whole 'nesting' thing with Emma (maybe because our apartment was not hard to keep clean) but Thursday night all of the sudden I had this huge burst of energy (I have been so tired with Jon gone and only getting 5 or 6 hours of sleep) and I knew I had to clean the kitchen. So I was scrubbing every little thing. I am not sure if it falls under the nesting stage or if I am realizing how much needs to be done before the baby comes and before we move! Which will all be happening in the next 7 weeks! Oh and just to update on Jon being gone. I am actually doing pretty good now. I have gotten over the pizza guy coming back. And I actually got in bed at 11 last night. But I am so excited for Jon to get home!

it is so hard when your husband is gone! dan left this morning for a few weeks, i dont know why it is so hard this time... he is gone a lot! im glad he will be back soon, and im so happy to see emma enjoyed her jammies!!!
i mean im glad jon will be back soon
Cute jammies! Chelsea is always so good about getting things done and finding what you want. The flowers are pretty and I think Jon should bring you flowers at least 2-3 a month for putting up with him!! The baby stuff looks all ready- you just need to have her now!! Can't wait to get there- sorry it wasn't this week...
gotta love good mail!
the flowers are gorgeous! lucky you! i told mike something similar...i told him that i didn't care to have flowers on the days that you're "supposed" to get flowers..i'd rather have them some random day to know he thought of it himself. when i never got flowers...i retracted my statement and am happy to get them whenever i can! ;) haha- gotta love him!
i wish i knew you didn't have more family coming- we could have found something to do to pass the time! hang in there...you've just about made it! i'm impressed!
The baby stuff looks so cute and Emma looks adorable in her PJ's- leave it to Chels to be the world's greatest aunt! I can't wait for the nesting phase, my apartment really needs a good deep clean. By the way, thanks for the advice about staying out of the sun, I went out last night and bought a ton of sunscreen and a hat!
OK, I didn't realize that you have been home without family for a few days! We definately needed to get together! But Jon will be home soon..yea! He scored some major points with those flowers.
And what a fun aunt to send jammies, and also a flat iron? You lucky girl! I am in desperate need of a good one.
I love the cute pink decorated changing table. Are you guys really moving this summer? It seems like you just moved into the ward!
Cute flowers from Jon! Flowers are a great way to bring in spring!
I really hate to tell you this but they do the pretend play past 5 years old. I work with Kindergartners through 2nd graders and even some of my 2nd grade girls are still doing it. Once they get to be in 1st and 2nd they start pretending they are characters on the Disney Channel and stuff like that. A big group of my 2nd graders pretend like they are girls from BRATZ or they are Hannah Montana and stuff like that. You get used to it though, don't worry. If you ever have any questions, I have taken all the classes and studied all of this cognitive development in young children, so feel free to ask :)
By the way, Emma is looking so adorable... I haven't seen her in so long, I can't believe how big she is :)
