January to present....

January and up to now can pretty much be summed up in two words: SNOW SNOW SNOW & SICK SICK SICK! I can't believe how much it has snowed this year! If I remember right I think in the first week of the new year there were 4 storms that came through! When we started talking about moving to Utah, Jon asked if I would be ok with the Snow. I told him sure, I had lived here for 5 years and it didn't snow that much! Well I was wrong....it snows like crazy! With the snow has come lots of colds and other crap (I hate that word...but it's the only one that really states how I feel!) Sophie got RSV, I was really nervous, but we were lucky and it was only bad for about 5 days. She didn't have to do any breathing exercises or anything. She got an ear infection on top of it, and then a few days later passed it all onto Emma. The worst part of RSV was that it is so contagious that we were pretty much stuck inside for 2 1/2 weeks! I thought I was going to go crazy! On our last doctor visit, the doctor told us that we were probably just adjusting to moving here, and it would probably take a year to get used to! After hearing this news I called my mom and planned a two week trip to sunny California! Hopefully the sun will melt away all of our germs! We leave tomorrow and are so excited to see everyone there!

On a side note I realized I forgot to mention the most important news.....Jon finally purchased the Practice in Herriman December 3rd! It has been a little bit stressful getting used to the business part, however he is loving the dentistry! It will be good for us to get out of his hair for a bit, so he can just worry about the practice!

December (Part two)

Emma's First Dance recital!
Emma had her first dance recital 12/16/07, it was great! She did such a good job and actually danced pretty much the whole time! I had envisioned her freezing and then running off the stage! But she was so cute! Thanks to all the family that came to see and support her!

Emma's Birthday!
I can't believe Emma is 4! We had a pretty normal day, since we had already had her birthday party. She still had school and then she opened presents from us. Sophie loved being able to eat all the ribbon from the presents! And then we went to dinner at the Pizza Kitchen.

The Glory of Christmas!
My parents treated us all to see the Glory of Christmas, a live Nativity at the Crystal Cathedral. We had been a few years ago and when we were little. The singing was awesome. The little children that sang had the most amazing voices. Emma was a little scared of King Herod and was really upset that he wanted to kill Baby Jesus. But she loved how the angels fly over your head in their pretty white dresses. We went with Whitney's husband Ryan's family too. Emma was even excited to pet the real animals after!

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!
Christmas Eve we went to my Aunt Marcia's and opened presents and had a great dinner! It was lots of fun just to hang out and have everyone together. Christmas Day was so fun. Emma was so excited! She was so excited to get her dollhouse! Sophie looks a little sleepy! We then had lots of fun playing the wii and kareokee and having way too much good food the rest of the day!
Later that night, Lindsey thought it would be a great idea to get Sophie crawling! So she sat and rolled little balls all over the floor until Sophie was crawling after them. I told her I expected her to come over everyday so I could get stuff done....it hasn't happended yet!
