Well the big day has come and gone. Sophie Lyn Fairbanks has deciced to grace us with her presence after hanging on for dear life to he mother. She was born at 4:56 AM (not 4:58 as her grandmother stated in her blog). She was 20 inches and weighed a good solid 8lbs 2oz. A good sized bass in my book. Both mother and daughter are doing great after a long night for everyone. As you can see Emma was so excited to meet and hold her new little "stister". She was so cute with her and would whisper while she was talking and holding her...I wish we could get her to whisper like that in church. Anyway, she loves her and wants to hold her non stop. However Emma was pretty interested in the TV remote and crushed ice in the hospital. Thanks to everyone for the prays and support. Now the real adventure starts (bringing her home, packing, graduating, and moving). Enjoy the pics, more to follow.

The look on Emma's face is priceless!! Aunt Marcia however would like to know where Sophie got her nose? She's beautiful and it's killing us we're missing the new baby smell! Love to you all, see you soon.
Sophie Lyn...what a cute name! I am so glad she is finally here and everything went so well. She's 8 pounds, but looks soooo tiny in Emma's arms! Doesn't this just make Emma seem so grown up? What a beautiful little family you have...we love you! Congrats!
Congratulations! You now have two beautiful daughters. We are so happy that she is finally here and that everyone is doing well. We can't wait to meet her in June! Good luck with graduation and moving, we will keep you in our prayers!
I just got off the phone with Mandy...she does NOT sound like she just had a baby! I thought Kentucky was only an hour ahead of us like Tennessee, so I thought I was calling at 9:30, but I was actually calling at 10:30 and Mandy was still going strong and talked to me until 11:30! When she told me what time it was, I felt terrible, but she was heading to the cafeteria anyway. OK--sorry for the long comment, but I'm really excited for you guys! The pictures are SOOOOOOO cute. I can't wait to see you...especially little Sophie Lyn! Also, Mandy doesn't look like she'd been up all night giving birth. Congrats!
Congratulations. We hope you all are doing good. Cant wait to see her.
She is beautiful! Take your time adjusting to two-- it can be a handful! Tell Jon congrats. I am so excited for both of you!

Now your adventure begins...Emma looked so darling holding Sophie. She and Sophie are going to be best pals. Congratulations and take it easy!
Oh my word! That happened fast- I just saw you the other day! (I'm impressed you've already posted!)
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Finally, right!?! Can't wait to see her in person!
I was glad to catch up on your blog and to see I hadn't missed too much- my computer has been so slow, I've been way behind!!
ps- I am SO amazed at your perfect organization with the super saturday project!!! You put a lot of time and effort into that! Thank you so much!
Congratulations! I am so happy for your family. I've been waiting for this post to pop up. She has such a pretty name and I'm glad that Mandy is doing so well. Enjoy watching Emma become a big sister and watching your two little girls become friends!
Congrats Jon & Mandy! And Emma, too. I know how she's feeling, wanting to be a big sister since Miranda is still acting the same way! I am so happy for you all. She is so cute and SOOO Fairbanks! She looks just like Emma! Hey, you promise me that you'll call if you need anything...help packing, dinner, tissue to cry on at about the 7th day of no sleep...
Luv ya! :o)
Congratulations guys! She is so cute and I think she looks like Emma. I thought we might see you in the hospital while we were there, but she came late and ours went home early. Hope all is well. Let us know if you need anything.
WE MUST HAVE MORE PICTURES!!!
Congratulations! We are so excited for you! We showed the pictures to Katelyn and she thought baby "Soapy" was so cute! (We'll have to work on getting her to say that right!) Love ya!
Yeah! Congratulations. Take it easy for as long as you can. Take advantage of any help that comes your way. What darling girls!
I think that Sofie is really beautiful and for you to have the 2 beautiful girls is really exciting. They will be the best of friends all of their lives. You really have a cute family and I know how thrilled you mom and dad are. Take care.
