Emma has show-n-tell every week for school for a letter of the week. Last week it was the Letter C...so we did curly hair. After getting her hair all rolled and her off to bed...which was a total pain! She came out 20 minutes later crying that her ear hurt. I thought it was the curlers since she has never had any ear problems before. Well an hour later when she was screaming and couldn't sleep...I knew we had a problem so I took the rollers out of her hair (ugh!) And she finally fell asleep. She didn't get to go to school the next day, but she wanted me to put curlers in AGAIN, the next night and she could do her show-n-tell a day late. So once again we put in curlers...much easier the second time. But when she woke up she had a rash all over! So she missed school and had to go to the dr's instead. She had a bad ear infection (her 1st) and a viral rash (gross!) So we just got to enjoy her curly hair at home. It was so curly! I need to buy one size bigger of sponge rollers! She looked totally different! This is just a pic that Emma took of Sophie and Me. We were trying on a new hat from Grammie! It was very cute!
This really could be a post on its own...but I seem to put off posts until I have too much to add! So we fed Sophie for the first time Saturday night (sept 22) I really wanted to wait a little longer but she would cry every time we ate and she was stuck watching. She was so funny. I remember when Emma ate it was messy and she spit 95% of it back out! Not Sophie it took her two bites and then she was dive bombing the spoon trying to get it in her mouth as fast as she could!

Cute pictures! I laughed when I read, "We fed Sophie for the first time"...have you been starving her for months or what? Just kidding. It's funny how they know at such a young age what they're missing out on! The picture of you and Sophie was really cute. Before I read your blog, I thought Emma looked like she had a wig on. Too cute! Love ya!
We have that exact same bumbo at our house, which is also the baby feeding station. That hat is too cute!
Emma looks so darling with her hair. So funny! Too bad she had an ear infection. Also, way to go on the feeding Sophie!
Cute hair! Emma looks so different. Amazing that it could make such a difference. And nice BYU outfit, Emma! Did Jon buy that for you?! GO COUGS!!! :o) (You look so cute in that pic w/ Sophie, BTW!)
I like your new blog design. Your little girls are both darling--you'll always be glad you've taken lots of pictures. That was a nice tribute to your Mom. One of the very best things about having daughters is that it's a lifetime relationship that just keeps getting better. My Mom is 73 and I still feel like there are things I can learn from her because she's been such an example to me.
Thanks for the pictures- I love the one of Emma watching you feed Sophie. Could you please package them up and send them to me-you can just do it COD. Love you!
Emma looks so cute, she looks like Annie... minus the whole orphanage thing but still, adorable hair! And I love the hat on Sophie!
Emma looks like Annie. Too bad she didn't get to show off her hair at school. Ear infections are the worst. I can't believe it was her first! Cute post!
by the way, thanks for the nomination...way too nice! what kim are you talking about? I guess friends are only supposed to see the good, right? :)
