I have been tagged....twice!!!

***note: i have decided to tag my mom too! After talking to linz we thought it would be funny***

Ok so thanks to Jamie and Jami (ha ha) I feel that I really should get this done. I only could find one picture it was our engagement pic that we sent out with our announcements.

1. Where did you meet your husband?
Jon and I met in our Biology class at UVSC. And I might as well come clean, I pretty much stalked him. I sat closer and closer through the first two weeks of class!

2. What was the first thing you said to your husband?
I really wish I remembered...I am sure it was just hi and what's your name (I was already long distance dating a Jon Fairbanks) Where did you serve your mission...(he served with one of my good friends from HS)

3. Where was your first date?
We went to a restaurant called the Grilled Pepper (now closed...is that a bad omen??!!) and then went skating at classic skate...pretty much one of your classic PROVO dates. I fell really hard...and have a picture of a very bruised knee! Then we went back to Jon's house for ice cream...and Wally and Fran spied on me to see what I looked like! Oh and I was his first date back from the mission.

4. Where was your first kiss?
It was downstairs at his house, while watching Mulan. He said wa hoo...I will never let him live it down!

5. Did you have a long or short engagement?
Isn't every engagement really long??? Just kidding it wasn't too bad. We got engaged May 24th and were married September 30th.

6. Where did you get engaged?
We got engaged at Stewart Fall's up Provo Canyon. And he TOTALLY surprised me! We had a picnic up by the waterfall. And while I was cleaning up he got down on his knee...when I turned around he was holding an empty ring box...I thought he was playing a mean trick. Instead the ring had fallen on the ground...luckily right where he was kneeling!

7. Where were you married?
We got married in the Bountiful Temple in Utah

8. The reception was awesome. It was at the water garden at Thanksgiving Point. It was so pretty and we loved every minute!

9. We went on a cruise to san diego, ensanada, and catalina. It was fun...but too short. We rode bikes, and went snorkeling. Now I am VERY ready for honeymoon II

I guess I am supposed to tag someone else....I don't know who hasn't done it....so I tag....Mind (it's a different one!) and Robyn!!!

Way too many posts!

Ok sorry for so many new posts today! I really wanted to get caught up! I am looking forward to this week. My mom and all my sister's and I are going to attend BYU's Education Week! It will be so much fun! I also went to weight watchers today and lost another 4.2 pounds to total 9.8. I was a little bummed to not hit the 10 pound mark! But that just gives more to work towards this week!

Oh and there were a few questions about my new blog...I bought a blogger download kit from twopeasinabucket.com (sorry you can't make things an link from a mac!) It was $8. It was a little confusing and I had to play with it lots...but it was totally worth it. If you google, you can find some other options!

And Jaime I know you tagged me I promise I will do it...I am searching for some pictures! Since mine are all packed! But I know Fran has some somewhere!!!

My NEW eyes!

So I am a little behind seeing as how this is my third post for the day. But I got my LASIK surgery done on thursday and I have been enjoying every minute of being able to see. I was going to post a picture of my left eye that is all red from the suction ring...but I couldn't take a pic without making a VERY weird face. I was SUPER nervous going in! Thank heavens for a small dose of valium...I maybe could have used a little larger though! The worst part of the whole thing was when a suction ring popped off my left eye. Otherwise it was over in a few minutes! It took a few hours for my eyes to adjust, everything seemed ultra bright, but by 11 pm I was watching the news and reading everything to Jon! It has only gotten better the past few days! I am still in total awe that a small surgery can help me see perfect! So once again thanks mom and dad! Oh and a big thanks to Jarrica for watching Sophie, and to Holly for letting Emma spend the night. And to Jon for taking control of everything the next day and letting me relax my eyes!

Ahh!

Well so I don't forget! Sophie has been held and loved so much...that finally today she rolled from her tummy to back! Of course she did it while I was walking (by myself...missed you tons Mind!), so I missed it. But she was sweet enough to repeat her new trick for me! PS I am running a little behind on my thank you notes (shame on me) The cute outfit is from Marty and Nicole (congrats on their new little one!)

The Chocolate Party

My mother in law through a Chocolate party for all the granddaughters and I offered to give her a hand. All the girls came over around 7 and I had purchased a chocolate fountain, and they really dug in! (So did I!) It was so cute to watch them all let loose and have a blast all together! We played Red rover, red rover...which I hadn't played in forever. Near the end though I was the only one running back and forth! So a big thanks to all my nieces for helping me get a little exercise after all the chocolate. Then they played the cutest game called Don't eat the M&M...which Fran (MIL) had used for teaching. We had a 3X3 grid of M&M characters I had googled. And then one girl would leave the room while the other chose one of those characters. Then they placed M&M's on each square. And the girl came back trying to eat as many M&M's as she could before picking the 'one' and then everyone would yell...DON"T EAT THE M&M!!! It was cute! Then they watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. And went to spend the night at Jon's brother Jeff and Jarrica's house! It was so much fun. I thought I had eaten enough chocolate to last a while...but instead I had the worst cravings for almost a week....DANG CHOCOLATE!!!! Anyway I hope I can help with next years too! (mostly for the chocolate!)

Random Thoughts

So I officially joined Weight Watchers two weeks ago with my mother in law fran. The first week was a breeze and I lost 5.8 pounds! Awesome! But then the second week was a little more stressful, I helped my Mother in Law with a chocolate party for all the Grand daughters (hoping to post pics about it tomorrow), which I ate a serious amount of chocolate. And then we went to St. George for the weekend (also hoping to update on) for the weekend, which I ate pretty good but definately outside of my point range. So on Monday I had gained .2 which considering everything wasn't too bad. But now I have got to get my tail going! I haven't decided about adding one of those weight trackers that I see on a few blogs. I still need to decide my goal weight...but I do love watching everyone elses!

I thought these were pretty funny, and somedays I definately feel that way!!! So I have been walking with my friend Melinda! It has been such a blast. We meet at 7 am and walk for an hour. She is actually one of Jon's good friends from high school, but I think I have stolen her as my friend! It was sad how sore I was at first but now it seems to be getting a lot easier. I remember reading on Kimberly's blog about exercising helped her to not kill her husband...I thought it was so funny (because I couldnt' see her hurting a fly) but now I am understanding what she meant... those endorphins really do put me in a good mood!!!

I really love blogging! But it takes so much time to look at everyones blog, make comments, and to update my blog, that it seems that I have to let some slide and just do one at a time! Finally I had a chance to add some fellow bloggers family and friends...welcome all!!! I am so excited to see what everyone is up to on a daily basis! I promise that even if I don't leave a comment i have read your blog!!! My blogging resolution is to blog when I get home from walking and then I have a few mintutes to myself when no one will interrupt!

A Great Weekend!

***note: I have to apoligize for the million pictures I just had too hard of a time elimanating them down!***

We had so much fun this past weekend. We finally found a weekend that all of the Fairbanks and the Kershaw's could get together to bless Sophie. My parents and Ryan and Whitney flew in from California on Friday night, and bright and early saturday morning we went to breakfast and then went to Thanksgiving Point to the Farm. My mom took Emma and Sophie into the farm by herself while Chelsea, Lindsey, Whitney and I went in to the Shade Clothing half yearly sale...I don't know how many shirts we bought (or rather my mom bought, she was nice enough to say it was her treat) I know I got 7 shirts for Emma and me, I would love a count from the rest, I would guess around 50 and it was only $126! It was a great deal! Anyway we walked around and caught up to my mom and fed the goats! Emma was really brave and fed the animals too! There was a goat that got a little too friendly with my mom and was trying to eat her earring out of her ear! Then we had to hit Cafe Rio for Ryan and Whitney, that place is a madhouse...but very good!!! Then we dropped the girls off at Jon's brothers house...and all the adults hit The Simpson's Movie! It was pretty funny, and of course my mom slept through some of it! But I did hear her laugh quite a few times so she can't claim that she doesn't like the Simpson's! Then My mom and dad took a drive to Herriman with us (probably where Jon will practice and we will live) It is so pretty there! Then we went to Brandon and Jana's (another of Jon's brothers') and enjoyed Fireworks, Kareokee, and some ice cream! It was a non stop crazy day but so fun!

Sunday was a very early morning, church started at 9 am! I was very impressed that all 36 of us arrived early! Jon gave Sophie such a beautiful blessing! And she behaved pretty good! I just heard that she would not stop wiggling! Then it was back to Wally and Frans for lots of food, funny stories, children running around, and lots of talking! The day ended when I took Whitney and Ryan to the hotel around 11 after playing Sequance (Whitney and I were on a team we killed Jon and Ryan 4-1!) It was so fun to all be together, I love that Jon's family and my family get along so great! And most of all I am very happy that we don't have a heathen child now that she is blessed!
