I can't believe Sophie is big enough for ponytails already! They are so cute and it makes her look so big! She even sits pretty still and is way better than Emma was about getting her hair done!
For Pioneer Day we hiked Stewart Falls up Provo Canyon. It is where Jon and I got engaged and the first time we had been back. The hike was way harder than I remembered it being! I was so surprised to see it was a 4 mile round trip. And it was so hot! I thought it was so pretty and so green! Emma chanted the whole way in "I hate this, I hate this!" Luckily on the way back out she enjoyed it a little more! At least for the picture she tried to smile! Sophie was pretty good about being in the backpack the whole time and not being able to get down and explore! Next time I think Jon and I will have to hike alone!

Wow...pigtails! The girls are so cute! It sounds like you guys have had a fun summer. Glad you are doing well. We miss you guys!
I actually don't know if I've ever actually done the Stewart Falls hike...sad, huh. I'm impressed that Emma made it 4 miles! Sophie is so dang cute with her pig tails!
yay, you're back! i can't believe how big sophie is getting!!!
I still feel bad we didn't come, next time for sure!!
It made me feel sad when I saw Soph's pigtails- it made her look SO BIG!!! I'm glad Emma decided to enjoy the hike at the end!
I love baby pig tails! So so cute.
I am with Emma, I would have been chanting the same thing. It is beautiful, but I will admit, I am not a hiker. I would like to ride more Sophie style. Do you think I could get D to carry me in a pack?
I can't believe your little girl is in pigtails!!! They just grow up too darn fast. It was fun reading and catching up on your blog. Too cute!
Tell Emma thanks for taking over for me: usually on a hike, it's ME chanting, "I hate this! I hate this!" :o)
Cute piggy tails!!
Your girls are so cute Mandy!
Cute little pigtails! There is a faster and shorter way to get to Stewart Falls by taking a trail from the Sundance Stables. That's the way we always go. Also, we've also taken the tram halfway up the mountain, then hiked over to Stewart Falls. It's a nice, easy, down-hill way to do it. It's a MUST in the fall!
We are all about pig tails at our house! After 3 girls you get pretty good at them...Quinn can even gather a pretty decent pig tail himself! Sadly Morgan is outgrowing them...I guess they're just not cool in 4th grade! Enjoy them while they last! Your girls are darling and troopers on a 4 mile hike! Impressive! We miss you guys.
