President Hinckley

Only this could drag me out of a blogging block....I am so sad to hear that President Hinckley has passed away tonight. And at the same time I am so happy that he is back with his sweet wife. We were so lucky to have him as our leader of the church. He truly taught us to work hard, to endure, and to enjoy life. I loved his sweet sense of humor and his amazing ways of helping me understand the gospel better and have a desire to follow. I am so thankful for a guided man that was able to help carry the church across the world. He truly will be missed.

What a sweet post. I just can't believe it! It feels wierd to think he's gone! I think I feel this way, because he became the prophet when I finally started paying attention. I think he had a true gift of being able to relate to people of all ages. It's incredible when someone so old can get through to people so young. Love him, and I'm so happy he's with his cute wifey now. What a reunion!

I've heard a couple different General Authorities refer to him as the North Star. I think he truly has been that for millions of people... always helping people find their way home.

Amen sista. I found my emotions so mixed. I felt shocked and sad, but mostly just happy for him. We all know where he is and who he is with. And it's just a wonderful feeling to know that.
