The Wedding!

Alright so I know I am a total slacker! I have so much I want to post. But first here are some wedding pics. It was 'almost' as beautiful as my wedding, actually it was a very amazing day. The ceremony was so awesome! Ryan and Whitney looked very happy! We are so happy that Ryan has joined our family! We have lots of fun with the two of them! And Whitney looked so pretty! Even though I had gone to her dress fitting, I was still so in awe when she walked out of the temple! Somehow I didn't take one picture of Sophie the whole day! Poor baby! It was fun to see people that I haven't seen since my wedding. And it was especially awesome to see Robyn (and Joe & Parker), I wish we would have had way more time to talk! Well words really can't describe the day, other than it was beautiful!

Emma in her flower girl dress!

Ryan and Whitney

Emma and Grandpa...I think she was held the entire reception! Poor Grandpa!

Jon and Brandon- I really am not sure what they are doing! But I thought the picture was pretty funny! I have to say thanks to Brandon and Jana for coming to the wedding, it was so much fun to talk to them during the reception!

Emma and Best Friend...Emma now calls Lindsey Best Friend, it is pretty cute and funny. Emma was so sad to see Lindsey go back to Utah!

It was the perfect day, Emma had so much fun, she fell asleep on Jon while dancing! It was so cute!

The Pre-Wedding parties!

The Bridal shower was so nice! Whitney (and Ryan) got such great stuff! It was so fun to be there! I was really worried that they were going to have the shower before we moved from KY! It is still funny to think that my little sister is getting married! I was a little embarrased that I was the only one to give her lingerie! Oh well! I didn't have to open it in front of all the RS ladies! Ha ha!

The Bachelorette PARTY! I was flattered to be invited to go, but I really did feel like a chaperone! I felt pretty close to 40! Thank heavens Chelsea and Lindsey were there too! I actually had such a fun time! It was fun to watch whit open all of her VERY embarrassing presents! My mom even got a limo for the night! We all went to dinner, and then Chelsea, Linz and I went home while the rest of the girls partied it up and Dave and Busters!

The Mani-Pedi party! This was such a great idea! My mom and sisters put together a party for family and the bridesmaids to go and get manicures and pedicures and then we had a lunch after. It was the day before the wedding! My sister Chelsea had darling shirts made that said- "Whit's last fling before the Ring" Emma even got to enjoy the day, they ladies were so cute with her and put flowers on her toes and on her thumb! She was a great little trooper to get orange to match the wedding instead of pink! The lunch was so good! And it was fun just to hang out and relax!

The night before dinner! Ryan's family did such a nice dinner that was fun and relaxing, which was so nice after all the work that had gone on! The food was so good! They had chocolate fountains which were the best! Emma really enjoyed dragging anyone she could find to take her back for more! Ryan and Whitney must be meant for each other because they were so relaxed and calm!

I just have to add that getting ready for the wedding was definately exhausting, but it was so much fun to have lots of time with family! The crazy shopping for all the dresses, the dress fittings for Whit. I have to admit that I was TOTALLY clueless to how much work my mom did for my wedding! She is such a great mom, to make sure that EVERY detail is taken care of! She handled the stress of everything so well. If there is such a thing as peaceful stress...she accomplished it!

A CrAzY Month!

I know, where on earth have we been??!!! It has been a little CRAZY! Because this is pretty much my journal, I have to back track just a little!

The Vespas and Whitney's 20th B-day! (5/18-5/19)

The vespas, were a little surprise from my dad! He bought them for everyone to just enjoy! I think my mom thought he had lost it! I was pretty terrified to ride one (I am a super KLUTZ!) But they actually are pretty fun! I haven't ventured out of my parents gated community, but just to ride along the roads is a total blast! Thanks dad for always making sure we have new toys!

For Whitney's Birthday (my youngest sister), she wanted to do a bonfire at the beach! It was such a blast to go down and just relax and enjoy the beach. We went down at night and roasted hot dogs and more importantly s'mores! Sophie was almost a month old! I can't believe we took her to the windy beach at night! It is amazing how much you relax with your second!

Doomsday!!!
Jon and I took a very quick trip to Henderson to look at houses! We were both so exhausted, and then finally we found a house we absolutley loved (I am pretty sure it was house #20!) When we got to the next house, Jon's cell phone rang. It was his soon to be partner on the phone, telling Jon that we no longer had a job and he was selling his practice. The Dr. had been called to Iraq and it just didn't look like he could make it without selling his practice! We were so shocked and distraught we just hopped int the car and headed back to California! It has been pretty hard deciding what to do next! We are open to pretty much anything! With Whitney and Ryan's wedding around the corner we decided to start really searching when that was over!

Trip to Utah!
We had a quick trip to utah to see Jon's family and for Fran's retirement party (my mother-in-law)! It was so fun to get together with Jon's family! We always have such a great time together! I think Jon and his brothers are hilarious! I can't imagine growing up in a house of all boys! We also had the chance to go and visit the Stohl's some VERY good friends from dental school! It was nice to stress about our unknown future with them and to dream that maybe Utah was possible! It was so fun to watch Emma and Anzley pick up right where they had left! Of course I had my camera and meant to take a picture of the two of them playing, and didn't!

A BIG thank you!

I wanted to make this a separate post...We really owe our parents a big thank you! I don't know what we would have done without their love and support over the past four years, and really since we have been married!

To my sweet in laws...They have been such great parents and have raised such an awesome guy, who works so hard to achieve his highest potential! I love how close Jon is to his dad, and that he doesn't ever hesitate to call and ask for advice about anything! I also have to say thank you for the MANY weeks we would stay at their house during summer breaks! They always made sure we were comfortable and had our own space. The mad dash of packing would not have been possible with out Fran, and Jana there to throw the last stuff into boxes! And a HUGE thanks to Wally for driving with Jon! We love you so much!

To my parents...I have always loved how proud my parents are of Jon, and of course I enjoy their willingness to brag about my husband. My mom was such a huge help the week before moving. She pretty much handled everything! She took care of Emma and got us organized and packed! We could NOT have moved without her help. I love watching my sweet dad with our girls! I come from ONLY sisters...so it's fun to watch him be with Emma or Sophie, and get a glimpse of how he was with me. My parents were also great for sponsering MANY flights to California, when I was homesick, or just needed a little break from life. Thanks so much, lots of love!

He's a Doctor??!!!

Wow! I can't believe that the past week is already done and over! I should have posted this a little sooner, but life has been a little bit crazy! As you can see...it's official Jon is a DR. That is a little weird! I am so proud of him! It is quite an accomplishment to have the past four years done and behind us! I have to honestly admit that I didn't think it was such a big deal that he had gotten into Dental school, until during a speech one of the professor's said that there had been 2000 applicants for the 80 spots at Louisville! That is really cool! It was really neat to watch Jon get 'hooded' especially by his brother Brandon (who is a graduate from Louisville's dental school as well) It was a little strange to go from euphoria that it was really over, and then to total depression as we realized that we had to say goodbye to everyone! It is funny, I am sure I complained that dental school would never get over, and that Jon was never home, but now suddenly I seem to remember how fun it was, and the great friends we made along the way! Since we were so far from home those friends have become our family! I really don't know what I am going to do without them!

It was also a little crazy because we moved the next day! I flew to California with my parents the next afternoon, with Emma and Sophie. While Jon and his AWESOME dad Wally stayed behind to drive! I am so grateful that I didn't have to make that drive again! Especially with a new baby! I totally cried when we flew out of Kentucky (about 3 minutes into the flight you are in Indiana!) I turned to my Mom and said...that's it, we're out! I haven't been as sad as I thought I would be. I thought I would be crying this whole week! I definately do while I read emails, or blogs. But I think since We are at my mom's house it seems a little unreal! I am sure when we officially move to Henderson it will really hit!

Jon and his dad made it here last night! They really traveled fast! Now we are just getting somewhat settled here, and getting ready for Fran's (Jon's mom) retirement party! (Yeah Fran!) and for Ryan and Whit's wedding! We miss all of our great friends and look forward to planning trips to get together!

Our New House

Here's Our new home....JUST KIDDING! I wish! We spent the weekend at Lake Lure in North Carolina, as the last Hoorah with some other families from dental school! It was about a 6 hour drive from Louisville, I was a little worried about the drive, but both ways went pretty smooth. It was pretty rainy, but it was nice just to spend time chatting and saying over and over "I can't believe the guys are done" It was also nice to have extra hands to hold Sophie, I am pretty sure I won't be able to put her down again! The house was amazing! There were 5 families staying so we had 10 adults and and 10 kids, it was a little crazy but the kids had a blast! It was also great to watch the Kentucky Derby (or the best 2 minutes in sports!) with everybody! I am pretty sure that we will be big fans of watching the derby forever!

Before we headed out on Thursday, Emma had her big Derby program, I had to include a few pics from that! They sang the cutest songs and played fun little games! We are also so excited that my mom (Grammy) is coming tonight! Emma can't wait to show her baby sister off! And I can't wait for a little help packing! Thanks Mom!

Just pictures

My family is dying for more pics! The one of Emma feeding the bottle to Sophie was from the rush of getting ready for preschool, Sophie of course decided she was still hungry, and I was still in my pj's so I had Emma feed Sophie while I quick threw on some clothes!
